iOS: How to make a simple tableView

One of the most common ways to display information on an iPhone or an iPod Touch is with a Table View.

Displaying information in a Table View (UITableView) is fairly easy.  I will go over how to make a basic table view with information, and then later, show you how to make a more advanced table view.

For all iOS application examples, I will be using the latest version of Xcode.  You can obtain Xcode for free directly from Apple by going to http://developer.apple.com.

The fastest way to get a table view is by selecting the Master-Detail Application from the templates menu.  This template adds in the foundation that you’ll need to make and populate a tableView.
