I was so excited to hear that Taken, one of my favourite films ever, was releasing a sequel, Taken 2. Not the most imaginative titles but it does what it says on the tin!

The film follows Brian, Kim and Lenore as they try to have a relaxing holiday in Istanbul, but the families of the men whom Brian killed in the first installment are out for revenge.

Lets just face it, the plot is full of more holes than a fisherman’s net, but does any of that really matter when Liam Neeson is running around, shooting bad guys?! I think not.

The believability is stretched slightly more in one scene where Neeson comes face-to-face with one of the bad guys and they fight it out on a circular platform, a la Matrix, but that’s all part of the fun.

While I must admit, Taken, with its gritty, in your face, dark violent scenes, was much better…
